In this session, we will explore the small moves teachers can make during interactive read-aloud that have a big impact.  We will discuss ways to connect read aloud to other components of balanced literacy, learn about new texts, and plan an interactive read-aloud.

Teachers should bring the following:
1. Please bring the read-aloud Calkin's recommends with the Calkins post-it notes in the book. Talk with your team. It would be helpful if your grade level school team brings the same read-aloud text.
2. Current reading unit of study and writing unit of study.
3. One picture book you want to read aloud in the next month
